It's been a long time ago Phil, but I made a note of what I learned in one of the old DGJ articles I wrote on Syracuse some years back; but it may have been the Arizona History Museum in Tucson, as they have many Earp artifacts. The gun is a Grade O in the 31XXX range as I recall, and is well used. It was given to a friend of Earp's; and I recall some sort of hand-written note from Earp about gifting this gun to this friend of his. Wish I could do better, but the old memory gets fuzzier each passing day.
