I'm not saying Murphy's won't work, but I used Murphy's on a 4E Ithaca stock years ago and managed to ruin the finish on that stock (stuff simply stripped off the finish!). I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, and could certainly have done something wrong; but that is my first and last experience with that stuff (Grandma always told me "a burnt child don't play with fire"; and this child got burned!).
