I purchased two 20 gauge LC Smiths recently (one pre 1913 the other 1913)and wish to give them to my son and grandson. Before I do this, I want to ensure they are safe to shoot, especially to ensure the barrel thickness measurements are adequate to shoot appropriate shells. I reside in East Central Illinois and would like to get a recommended gunsmith, preferably within driving distance, to do this work. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
