    Tom, looking at the picture you will see where the pin is that holds it in. On some guns it is visible, on some it was filed flat with the lug and you cannot see the pin outline. If this is the case, use a magic marker and rub it over this area and then wipe it off to see if there is now an outline.

    Drive pin out, rotate joint check until activator pin pops out into ejector (extractor) hole. Remove activator and slide joint check out. If spring does not come out when removing activator you can take it out later or if halfway and won't come out use a hook to get it out.

    To put back together, activator can only go in one way, take a dowel and push activator to compress the spring in the joint check and then rotate joint check to hold in place.
