The pressure is fine as long as the barrels are in good shape and you have had them looked over by someone who knows what to look for. No deep pitting and ample wall thickness. The heavier the load and the higher the feet per second equals more recoil which can damage the wood. Especially on a hundred year old stock and especially on an LC Smith. Why would you feel the need for 1 1/4 oz loads? I shoot 7/8 and 1 oz loads only in my 12ga guns. Some guys will swear by 3/4 oz loads.
