Unusual Butt Plate Archived Message Posted by John Liles on July 10, 2015, 6:33 am Hello All, A friend recently purchased an LC Smith that appears to be in all original condition. That said, it has a butt plate that Ive not seen anywhere before. There is a fairly ornate rendering of an American Eagle in the center. I've searched on line and in the few books I have and cannot find anything similar. I'll try to post a picture, and maybe Dr. Drew,Shotgun Tom,or someone else can shed some light. My computer skills are definitely lacking, and you may have to zoom in a little to better see the detail.
