Mike, if the serial number is a 5 digit number and it starts with the 16 as shown, it is from 1886 and is a Syracuse L.C. Smith. To find another stock would have to be from a Syracuse gun or maybe a very early Fulton Hunter Arms one in the 30,000 serial number. To fix it right you might have to soak the stock in acetone to get any oil out of the crack, and re-do the glue and hopefully it might not show the crack as bad.
