Recently acquired a LC Smith 2 grade 12 grauge, but the gold inlay on the barrel rib is missing. I understand that this grade of gun had a gold inlay with some sort of pattern on it, in the notch. 1. Do you know if it was truly made with gold, or another mix of metals that looks like gold? I've talked to a couple of gunsmiths about this but none of them so far know what to do other than to suggest I talk to a jeweler or engraver. 2. Have any of you ever had this gold inlay done before and how were you able to have it completed? 3. What does the pattern look like on the top of the gold inlay? Appreciate your help. - Doug
