That my Friend is a Syracuse Quality 4; and you won't find finer pointer and setter depictions anywhere than on those lock plates. This gun also has a gold dogs head inlay on the trigger guard bow. I first saw the gun in 1988 when it was owned by Bill McPhail (maybe he'll post, he had researched the engraver, but I can't recall the name). Bill sold the gun to Russ Ruppel; and the gun was later sold to an Atlanta collector who let us share this gun publicly. This gun remains in very high condition.
