    Mr. Clark, I come up with 1905 as year of manufacture. As to chambering, you can ask around at the local gun shops and skeet/trap/sporting clays clubs for anyone who has a bore micrometer set and is willing to measure it for you, or post your location on this forum and see if anybody offers to measure it for you. You can slip various gauge shells in the chamber and see which one is the best fit in the gun. You can use a choke gauge to give an indication of gauge. If you want to know what gauge it was when it left the factory, you need to request a research letter from The L. C. Smith Collectors Association, as described on the home page.
