Yes, he's was doing well back then! He had a Pierce Arrow car, tons of stuff from Tiffany Studios, and all types of other great stuff of the era. So as far as my dad knows and has told me he had two L.C. smiths one, a hammer gun was the first one he bought and it was a F grade hammer gun with 32 or 34 inch barrels. Which I beilve was from about 1919 or so. After that he purchased a what I am guessing was a deluxe grade from l.c smith. As my dad told me and his dad told him it was totally engraved and one side had gold inlays of pheasants and a gold hunter. The other side had inlays of a deer in gold. It also had very highly figured wood. A fire destroyed his business and it was in his roll top desk. Which was all totally destroyed. I only wish he had saved it.....
