    Michael, the "F" is the grade letter. The F grade hammer gun was the lowest priced hammer gun made. Oddly there were not many higher grades made after 1900. This was Hunter Arms "meat" gun as by 1906 the cost was $20.00 for one having Royal Steel barrels.

    By right side bolt, do you mean the screw that holds the hammer on?

    Also could I have the serial number for our records? Thanks.
