David Thanks for the reply I'm guessing you are probably right they must have been honed. It must have been a very long time ago because they look terrible and have many pits. I'm going to hone them again and I'm betting that I shoot right past .750 . My guess is that if I maintain suitable wall thickness who cares .
I have a couple of early Parker's that have a bore diameter of .750 and was told that is where they started when built, so I thought possibly the Smith would have a similar oversized starting point. Thanks, Tom
