Damascus offered into the 1920s Archived Message

Damascus barrels were not uncommon on the post-1913 Ideal and Specialty grades.
A 20g Field SN 14788 shipped October 21, 1919 is the latest reported Damascus barreled gun known.
Damascus barrels were still listed as an option in sporting dealer catalogs into the late 1920s, but certainly the dealers may not have revised their catalog copy.

This 1918 E.C. Simmons, St. Louis catalog lists "Fine Damascus" as still available but only for 16g hammer guns. It likely the 10g & 12g twist and Damascus supply had been exhausted at that point.
