I was very happy to find this forum, several years ago I acquired an old LC Smith, serial number 71**, it is absolutely beautiful and from the pics I have seen is identical to a crown grade LC smith, but it does not say crown grade, there is no writing on the barrels themselves only on the mid rib and that says MADE TO ORDER BY THE HUNTER ARMS CO FULTON NY. It also does not have the crown on the break open lever, it is just highly engraved. The wood is of very high quality as well. The engraving is two setters on each side and the quality of the engraving and detail is impressive. Any ideas? Thank you very much for your time. Tim
