One of the experts here may know the exact number, but I'll hazard an educated guess based on the production data on page 82 of the L. C. Smith production records book:
There were 6,911 16ga field grade L. C. Smiths made with 26" barrels. There were 439 16ga field grade guns with the non-select HOT out of a total production of 38,678 guns. That's 1.135%. 1.135% of 6,911 is 84 guns. That's just a guess, but I don't think it is an often seen combination.
