Early 16 gauge barrel's bores typically measure .650 inch. The choke of a particular barrel is determined by the amount the bore's diameters are constricted (i.e., reduced) in the last few inches of that barrel. Measuring that constriction and referring to one of the many charts on the various shotgun sites will allow you to approximate the chokes your barrels have. They are typically different for each barrel.
