Congratulations on your new .410. I would strongly disagree however on it being a good starter gun for anyone, especially kids. Most are tightly choked, and very difficult for an experienced person to hit with, much less a beginner. If the chokes are opened, the effective range is drastically reduced. A 28 or better yet a 20 ga is a better choice to begin a shooter with.
