The original tight chokes in your L C Smith LONGRANGE were designed for LEAD SHOT. If you shoot steel shot through an original L C Smith LONGRANGE you will most likely ruin the barrels. If you shoot some of the other legal non-toxic shot through an original L C Smith LONGRANGE you might ruin the barrels. You will need to be very very careful about what you choose to shoot through an original and unaltered L C Smith LONGRANGE. RST might have a load that you can use in your L C Smith LONGRANGE for ducks.....Good Shooting To You, Jent
