Will, that is a fairly large gap. Most barrels will come very close to fitting and I have successfully used barrels from hammerless to hammer with no problems. I just did a fit using a set of non-ejector and made them ejector and fit to a FW 16 gauge that was 10 years apart in serial numbers. The only major thing is on some the breech ball diameter on the receiver might not match the diameter of the new barrels and vice versa. Sometimes only a matter of 3/64 or less. On some of the early 1890's guns the receivers breech balls were fairly large and latter barrels will be more of a distance. There are guns made now that have this same look.
