Thanks for the response. You are correct on my '25- I didn't mention its a non ejector field grade so it just has the pulloff type forearm. The '28 is also a field grade but ejector and with the roller release for the forearm. Is this a fairly rare setup for a field grade?28 inchers, F&F,2 9/16chamber(by the magic marker method), black grip cap with a white line, pad added but wood not cut,safety button and triggers gold plated which I guess is probably not factory, almost all case colors there(varnished)almost all blue there which may be original too since I cant see any signs like pitting filled in with blueing.It has a small brass plate on the bottom of the stock like for initials but it looks blank-could that have been factory.
