The Southern SxS did indeed start out small. Before I even had a Smith, I used to volunteer as a trapper/scorekeeper for the event. The Friday shooting was so sparse that you could take a nap most of the day. Now you can't stir 'em with a stick the whole weekend. If you've got three guys, just keep it simple, no prizes, just put a squad together and get together. When a group of you show up at a club, and see the hardware, you'll be surprised how many people will come up and say, "My dad gave this old 19th century plow handle gun. I didn't know you could shoot 'em." Next thing you know, you have another convert.
