    Mike. Get a slip on butt pad, measure the length, put on hunting gear and see how easily it mounts. Add padding internally to get longer length and try again. When you get comfortable, you've got you're answer. If you plan on using you Elsie, then the slip on, or lace up pad might be the ultimate answer. An old leather one came on my 1911 16 ga, which has proven very useful. Occasionally I let another use my Elsie, and that allows us to tune the length to each one. As in my son is 5'10, my grandson is 6'3, and my nephew is my size at 6'0. Just a thought. Good luck and shoot safely...Jim...
