I asked that same question about 1 year ago. A prominent person on this Forum called friends in the Dallas area & I was referred to Ron Rutledge, owner of McClelland's Gun Shop as well as a gunsmith in Forney Texas. Ron Rutledge & McClelland's was also recommended by a long time shotgunner.
Mr. Rutledge repaired cracks in the buttstock of my LC Smith & I am pleased with his work. While I am not very experienced, I definitely believe he knows his stuff. He says he has worked on LC Smiths for over 30 years. He has other gunsmiths working at his shop, but he personally did all the work on my gun's buttstock repair.
The other responder to your post may be just as good as Ron Rutledge, but Rutledga is who I have experience with.
