All,
The foot is healing fairly well. Just started wearing a regular shoe. I've had over a dozen surgeries and that was by far the worse as far as pain and recovery time. He had to whack some bone spurs and a chip out of the bottom knuckle on my left big toe. Saw the foot doc on Tuesday and the X-rays looked good and the screws haven't moved any.
Today I find myself once again under the knife. I had an artificial disc put in my neck between C-5 & C-6. It was about an hour surgery. I am up in a room watching the Atalanta Braves game.
Both of these surgeries are from injuries I sustained in Iraq. I still need to have the disc between C-4 & C-5 replaced. However my insurance (Humana) would not approve two new discs at once. So we did this one today and he ground down some bone spurs while he was in there. We'll shoot for the other disc in 6-8 months (preferably) after bird season.
Thanks for all the well wishes. And yes it's true that Baumohl is coming to "baby sit" me tomorrow. I feel that by the time it's all said and done it will be my wife babysitting both of us!
