Hello G. Hopkins, The picture of this gun in the POULIN GUN AUCTION CATALOG showed a L C Smith SXS side lock action shotgun. This L C Smith was described as a 10 gauge SXS with cut off barrels. Did Poulin deliver the correct shotgun to you ??? Does the description below accurately describe the shotgun that you received from Poulin's ??? Description: Cal. 10 Ga. S# 20647. Bbl's. are damascus shortened to 27" with white front mid beads. Cyl. & cyl. chokes. Sidelock action with scroll & line engraving. Dbl. triggers. Extractors. 3 Position safety. Splinter forearm with ebony tip. Rnd. knob pistol grip stock of fancy walnut. LOP: 14 1/8" over original buttplate. DAC: 2". DAH: 3 1/2". Weight: 7 lbs. 6 oz. CONDITION: 98% fine rebrowned bbl. finish. Over 90% restored case colors. Refinished wood with recut checkering. Forearm has chips along bbl. channels. Stock has sm. repaired chips & cracks behind locks. Top lever catches during opening. Pitted bores. PROVENANCE: Estate of John Houchins. (01-7810 was 14-143/DS). ANTIQUE. $500-900.
