The biggest problem that I have is that I am considering a gun online so I can't get my hands on it until it is purchased. Another issue with this gun is that it has a repaired crack at the wrist. There is also a little wood missing from where the side plate meets stock, whether from decay or as a result of the crack is unclear. If the crack was repaired poorly, can it be fixed again correctly?
I believe this gun was mentioned in a post from a few years ago. Its was thought to be a Syracuse gun Grade 4 that was finished at Hunter Arms. It has a grouse on the right hand side plate.
