I would agree that this sounds light. My 16 ga. FWS (Marlin-era) Field grade weighs 7 lb., after adding a 1" Pachmayr Decelerator pad and 28" barrels. Before you shoot it, have it checked out by someone familiar with these fine old guns. Welcome to the group, and don't hesitate to ask questions.
