Hello all, I have been reading all I can on damascus barrels, and yes I have read the articles in DGJ years ago. Wish I still had the articles. Maybe it has been overlooked, but I'm curious what the ACTUAL PRESSURES these guns were designed to handle? I have purchased a 12 ga. Baker Damascus in very, very good condition. Made in 1907 - 1912. Read enough to know the warnings about getting it checked, proofed etc. Just never saw written or published anywhere about the barrel pressures of the time. Great site, lots of info and have been lurking here for quite some time. Guess it is time to join.
