The first Long Range (recorded as "L.R." in the ledger - later as "L") was recorded in the ledger in 1921 (I am not at my computer with the database, but I think the serial number was between 51000 and 52000), a second in 1922, and 14 in 1923. The largest number (600+) were made in 1924, and most of those were in the 60000 to 69999 block of serial numbers. About 90% of the total marked in the records as Long Range were made between 1924 and 1931.
Shotguns recorded with 3-inch chambers are not common, but they occasionally occur in the ledgers. Chamber length of the LR/WF shotguns is not recorded. Formerly, they were assumed to all have 3-inch chambers, but we now know that was not the case.
