David, thanks for all of your information & advice. Once the crack was repaired on the stock behind the left side plate it seemed to change the area of the trigger assembly. We removed both side plates and cocked the hammers with a LC Smith cocking tool, but when you tried to put the left side plate back into the gun the hammer would fire or release. I was working with a LCSCA member who is very good with double triggers and some what knowable about HOT's but we assembled the gun and tried to cock the hammers with no luck. We did try to tighten and loosen the screws,again with no luck so being a high grade gun I thought the best thing to do was send it to a true expert. All seems good with what Jerry Andrews did.
