    Shu-man,
Nice purchase. After the first barrel is fired will the trigger go back further? The reason is that after the first firing and pulling back on the trigger the spur lever sets the firing plate up higher for the other sear to contact it. Reversing selector and it would have to do the same thing.
On second firing, firing plate (square shaped object) will rise up with the pulling of the trigger rear ward causing it to hit the sear (half round).

First thing try and tighten the long sideplate screw slightly, maybe half a turn. Make sure you use the right size screw driver or bit.
The firing plate might not be making contact with the sear.

This picture shows the selector for left barrel and shows the firing plate (pointer on it) and the sear right above it, will come in contact when trigger is pulled. You can see that safey is "on" and that the safety lever is off the step.

If you have the means to take it apart and put it back like the photos show without the stock (naturally) you will see by selecting either right or left barrel how this trigger works. You will see how the firing plate comes in contact with the sears and how very little contact is made. There are small springs and parts but I don't believe anything major is wrong.

If you need other assistance drop me an email and I will be glad to give you what little I know. (Will be away until Sat.20)
