Joseph, Very nice. I'm wondering if with that serial number if it falls into the 1914 date even though 20 ga. isn't listed. In my opinion, if it looks the way it does in the picture I would definitely leave it alone. If nothing has been done to it previously then leave it. Wipe the metal down with just a couple drops of gun oil on a cloth and admire it, and possibly use it. If the date I see is from 1984, I would find someone that knows about L.C. Smiths now and get a different appraisal, this gun is one that you won't see possibly again. Also the barrels look like steel instead of Damascus.
