My grandfather was "Ray" Briggs. He worked for Hunter Arms in his home town of Fulton, NY. He later worked on his on in Philadelphia doing checkering. I have his L.C. Smith shotgun that supposedly is one of a kind. All employees were supposedly given one as a bonus and they could have any engraving and checkering on it that they wanted.
