I have a nice Pigeon grade with steel barrels. The second set of barrels [damascus] fit perfectly. But do not have matching serial numbers. Did the factory ever fit a second set of barrels without changing serial numbers or marking it in some way? If the owner of the original gun had acquired the second barrel on his own and sent it in, would that make a difference in how it was treated in the factory? I assume a factory new replacement would have a clean slate to stamp original SN's. Any thoughts? Randy
