Having located a Hunter Arms 20-gauge Field Grade that interests me, I researched the serial number (115XXX) on this site, which suggests that the gun was made in 1929.
It has been my understanding that the 3-position safety was a feature provided only up until 1913. Since this gun has that kind of safety, I'm confused (I know: welcome to the club) about the date of manufacture. Is the safety an alteration? A special order item? Thanks for any enlightenment.
