Hello everyone, I have a quick question about the frames used on LC. Smith shotguns. Are the frames on 16 and 12 gage models the same size, or like some guns is there a different frames for each gage? The reason I ask is I have access to some 16 gage LC. barrels blanks, and I have a 12 gage LC. with unusable barrels, and a spare 12 ga barrel lug to which I could have the 16 gage barrels attached to. Hence making a usable 16 gage LC. out of a useless 12 ga, with the added benefit of keeping my original 12 ga barrels for collector value. Although this gun is of limited value to begin with, it's still a nice little added benefit if this is possible.
