    refinishing gunsmith Archived Message

Hello all. I just found this forum and have never been on it, but I found it looking for a gunshmith. I have a circa 1920's 12 bore elsie (I think it's a Fulton) that I'd like to get re-finished. I know it was colour case hardened in some areas because I can see remnants of it on the water table. The sideplate is basically finishless and is "in the white". Other than that I don't know what type of bluing or whatever was on the barrels, but I want a gunsmith who knows exactly what the original finish was. Does anybody know a gunsmith in the country who I could trust to work on my gun?
