Mr. Carrier: The #33 Remington primers may be those for insertion in battery cups or directly into the shell case. Stoegers 1938, #28 catalog lists these primers as being of copper and for use with many cases including those of which were brass. I have an early handheld loader which uses these types if one wishes to reload spent battery cups or brass cases.
