My wife and I stayed at the Day's Inn in Sanford last year, was cheapest motel in town, clean and very comfy, on US 421 north toward Siler City, but only a couple of blocks off US 501. 501N takes you north toward Deep River Sporting Clays facility. Very convenient. However, I got late reservation at comfort Inn, I believe special rate of $55.00 Sanford has no traffic congestion.
