    10ga Hammer picked up cheap Archived Message

    I just picked up a 1905 10ga hammer. I'm new to the LC Smith family. It was just to cheap to let go. It has some odd things on it. First is a lead forestock. Sorry if that's not what its called on a double gun. I know that's what its called on my pump. It has the checkering on it and everything. I'm guessing that's not original. Second is a hand made left hammer. Its made of brass and looks very good. If it didn't have the original on the right I might have thought it was correct. I am looking in to making it a nice wall hanger.
