    Forend latches Archived Message

    In the book (L. C. Smith The Legend Lives) on page 407 it indicates that banjo latches were used from 1901-1930 and rectangular latches were used 1930-1950.

    On page 174 it shows a rectangular latch on a Grade No 3 gun. This gun is a pre 1913 model.

    What gives?
