Was thinking someone smarter would jump on this one, but here's my regimen. When I remove the lockplates, I scrub the locks with a toothbrush and Formula 3 Gun Conditioner, then wipe off any excess. I put a tiny dab of STOS on the end of the cocking rod and a drop of Break Free CLP on the top lever, cocking rods, and firing pins (and I do store my guns barrel down) Before replacing the plates, I rub a bit of Renaissance Wax around the inlay as a sealant. For reassembly, I put another dab of STOS on the rib extension, sides of the lump, the hook, the knuckle, and the end of both cocking rods. Don't know if this is correct, but do know that less is better regarding lubricant use.
