mine is a regular frame, it has two wood screws in the trigger guard. The gun was made in 1916 so that probably puts it in the older gun category. I sent an e-mail to Dennis, perhaps we canconfirm the two screw theory or some other dimension. Would the frame on a newer model be a diffenent size or shape? I have an old Crescent Arms 410 double. The Stock on it looks almost identical to the LC Smith right down to the checkering on the grip, and the grip cap. It almost looks like Crescents arms had the blueprint for the LC Smith Frame. The top tang is shaped a little different. Are there other guns that are this similar to the L C Smith?
