Interesting question. Some will disagree, but I feel that a higher percentage of the early(pre-1913)guns were well built/desirable. Nice guns, however, are where you find them, and I've seen many later guns that were beautifully made. The exception would be guns made in the late 1940s and early 1950s. I don't recall ever seeing a real nice example of that vintage.
