I was interested in this gun, 12 ga Field Grade, 30" barrels mod/full? (didn't measure) Regular frame, ejectors. Pictures showed some case color left, description said wood was scratched, dinged, etc from years of use. Listed gun as made in 1945. I didn't think so. Had gun shipped to local store and looked at it. Barrels had small areas of the blueing worn, stock had one issue behing the left side plate, a chip missing from wood. Anyway I passed on gun because I thought they could do better. Now after all that my question is the serial number range for ejector guns in 1918 only goes to 219,750, so why does it only list to that. The stampings on the water table state R E219881. Any thoughts.
