I have found the "Laurel Mountain Forge" barrel brown and degreaser offered by Brownells to be a good "rust blue" finish if applied according to the directions included....it is very user friendly, and simple to use...it's about $7.50, and well worth it..I was very happy with the results on my L.C. barrels.
