Determining age and grade Archived Message Posted by Tom on February 7, 2008, 11:31 am I have a hamerless 12 guage L.C.Smith gun that I am trying to determine the age and grade. It has aa serial number of 205307, which appears to be either made in 1906 or 1945. There do not appear to be grade markings, but then I do not know where to look. It has been case hardened and custom engraved. I can provid photos.
