having read the posts here i am petrified of shooting a shotshell that will splinter my stock. as far as factory loads go i have also read that progressive powders have lower burn rates and give more velocity with less pressure. i would like some seasoned advice if possible. i have a 12 ga press in storage but it would be alot of trouble to get it and set it up... what about a factory light 2 3/4 AA 1 1/8 shot? or 3 1/4 1 1/4 standard game load? all in 2 3/4 shells. i grew up shooting o/u belgium guns and shot all kinds of stuff although mostly handloads. i havae also had a savage autoloader reciever crack at the squareback. arent most standard loads made for the least sound guns that will possibly shooting them?
