Hello,
Although I've pestered revdocdrew for the past several weeks, I'm new to the LSCA and this forum.
I've located an apparently original Field Grade 20 Gauge with very good barrel blue, shiny bores, very good case colors and wood in pretty good condition for $1695. The Sr# is Fw 61798. The problem is a faint hairline crack at the back of each of the side plates. If it were not for this forum I would not have looked for the cracks. They are very difficult to spot because they could easily be mistaken for grain in the wood. They appear to be about a 1/4" long. How serious is this condition and are there reasonable alternatives? Mac
